Federal Government Announces Average Cost of Incarceration for Fiscal Year 2011

The U.S. government has released the annual determination of the average cost of incarceration for federal inmates in Fiscal Year 2011, with a total fee of $28,893.40 and an average annual cost of $26,163 per inmate in Community Corrections Centers.
