FDA Approves Ractopamine for Confinement-Feed Cattle

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has amended animal drug regulations to approve a supplemental new animal drug application (NADA) filed by Elanco Animal Health, a division of Eli Lilly & Co., for the use of ractopamine hydrochloride in medicated feeds for confinement-fed cattle destined for slaughter.
