FDA Amends Animal Drug Regulations Due to Sponsor Change

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is updating its animal drug regulations to reflect a change in sponsor for 18 new animal drug applications (NADAs) and 1 abbreviated new animal drug application (ANADA) from Fort Dodge Animal Health, a subsidiary of Pfizer, to Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. (Boehringer), and for 15 NADAs from Fort Dodge Animal Health, a subsidiary of Pfizer Holdings Corp., to Boehringer.
