HHS to Evaluate Petition for Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act Designation for Simonds Saw and Steel Co. Employees

The US Department of Health and Human Services has announced its decision to evaluate a petition to include Simonds Saw and Steel Co. employees in the Special Exposure Cohort under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act of 2000, which covers employees who worked at the facility in Lockport, New York, from January 1, 1951 to December 31, 2006.
