Notice of Public Meeting for Proposed Withdrawal of Public Land from Mining Laws

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) proposes to withdraw approximately 28,953 acres of public land in San Benito and Fresno Counties from mining laws for up to 20 years to protect public safety and human health from asbestos and past mining activities. A public meeting will be held to explain the withdrawal process.
