Bureau of Land Management to Prepare Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement for Oil Shale and Tar Sands Resources in Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming

The Bureau of Land Management is preparing a Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement to assess the potential environmental impacts of allocating oil shale and tar sands resources on public lands in Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming, and is seeking public input on the scoping process.
