U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Announces 12-Month Finding on Petition to List Striped Newt as Threatened

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has determined that listing the striped newt as endangered or threatened is warranted, but due to higher priority actions, it will not be listed immediately. The species will be added to the candidate species list and a proposed rule will be developed to list it in the future.
