USDA Adopts New Assessment Rate for Avocado Marketing Order in South Florida

The US Department of Agriculture has finalized a rule increasing the assessment rate for avocados grown in South Florida from $0.27 to $0.37 per 55-pound container, effective for the 2010-11 fiscal period and beyond.
