CFTC Proposes Exemption for Trading and Clearing of Gold and Silver ETFs

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission is seeking public comment on a proposal to exempt the trading and clearing of certain gold and silver exchange-traded funds (ETFs) from the Commodity Exchange Act, allowing them to be traded on national exchanges and cleared through the Options Clearing Corporation.
