FERC Proposes Reliability Standards for Automatic Underfrequency Load Shedding and Load Shedding Plans

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has proposed the approval of Reliability Standards PRC-006-1 and EOP-003-2, developed by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), to establish requirements for automatic underfrequency load shedding programs and load shedding plans, aiming to prevent frequency degradation and assist in system recovery.
