CFTC Issues Orders for Grandfather Relief to Exempt Commercial Markets and Boards of Trade
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is issuing orders allowing exempt commercial markets and boards of trade to continue operating under grandfather relief, despite being deleted from the Commodity Exchange Act on July 15, 2011, as a result of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. Entities must file a relief petition and submit an application to the CFTC to qualify for this relief.
