NMFS Announces Intent to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Bowhead Whale Quotas
The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) plans to assess the environmental impacts of setting annual quotas for Alaska Natives to hunt bowhead whales from 2013 to 2017, in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, and invites public input until October 31, 2011.
