NMFS Prohibits Pacific Cod Fishing in Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Management Area
The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has prohibited directed fishing for Pacific cod by pot catcher/processors in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area to prevent exceeding the 2011 total allowable catch limit for pot catcher/processors in the region.
