USPTO Announces End of Patent Application Backlog Reduction Plan, Extension of Green Technology Pilot Program

The US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has ended its Patent Application Backlog Reduction Stimulus Plan, but will extend the Green Technology Pilot Program until 500 additional applications have been granted special status or March 30, 2012, whichever comes first, allowing applicants to use the Prioritized Examination program instead.
