MSRB Withdraws Proposed Rule G-42 on Political Contributions and Municipal Advisory Activities

The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) has withdrawn its proposed new rule G-42, which addressed political contributions and prohibitions on municipal advisory activities, and proposed amendments to several existing rules, including those related to books and records, preservation of records, and political contributions in municipal securities business.
