US Designates Republic of South Sudan for Temporary Protected Status

The US Secretary of Homeland Security has designated the Republic of South Sudan for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 18 months, from November 3, 2011 to May 2, 2013, due to ongoing armed conflict and environmental disaster in the country.
