US Extends Temporary Protected Status for Nicaraguan Nationals for 18 Months

The US Department of Homeland Security has extended the temporary protected status (TPS) for Nicaraguan nationals for 18 months, from January 5, 2012, to July 5, 2013, due to ongoing living conditions disruptions in Nicaragua following Hurricane Mitch.
