DEA Proposes Methylone Placement in Schedule I of Controlled Substances Act

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is proposing to add 3,4-methylenedioxy-N-methylcathinone (methylone) and its variants to Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act (CSA), a requirement that follows a formal rulemaking process.
