HHS Announces Expanded Common Formats for Patient Safety Data Collection and Event Reporting

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has released an updated version of the Common Formats for Patient Safety Data Collection and Event Reporting, which provides standardized information for healthcare providers to collect and submit patient safety event data, as authorized by the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act of 2005.
