FDA Reopens Comment Period for Bottled Water Quality Standard Rule
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is reopening the comment period for a proposed rule regarding the quality standard for bottled water until June 1, 2010. The rule, initially published in 1993, proposes revising the standard to establish or modify allowable levels for certain chemicals, including di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP), which was deferred in a final rule published in 1996.
