HHS to Evaluate Petition for Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced its decision to evaluate a petition to include a class of employees from the Ames Laboratory in Iowa in the Special Exposure Cohort under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act of 2000, which covers workers who worked at facilities involved in nuclear energy production from 1955 to 1960.
