HHS to Review Petition for Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced its decision to evaluate a petition to include a class of employees from BWX Technologies Inc. in the Special Exposure Cohort under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act of 2000, which covers workers who worked with hazardous materials at the company's facility in Lynchburg, Virginia, between 1959 and 1972.
