Alaska Files Application for Recordable Disclaimer of Interest in Aniak River and Lake Lands

The State of Alaska has submitted a request to the Bureau of Land Management for a disclaimer of interest from the federal government regarding the submerged lands underlying the Aniak River and Lake in southwestern Alaska, which the state asserts were navigable and unreserved at the time of statehood in 1959.
