FAA Proposes Rule to Enhance Fatigue Tolerance Evaluation of Rotorcraft Metallic Structures
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has proposed a rule to update airworthiness standards for fatigue tolerance evaluation of transport category rotorcraft metallic structures, aiming to improve safety by reducing catastrophic fatigue failures and ensuring the remaining structure can withstand fatigue loads until damage is detected or the part is replaced.
