U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service to Prepare Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement for Tongass National Forest Geothermal Leases

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, Tongass National Forest will prepare a supplemental environmental impact statement to assess the potential environmental impacts of issuing three pending geothermal leases to a private developer, covering much of Bell Island and a portion of the Cleveland Peninsula in Southeast Alaska.
