USDA Expands Biobased Product Eligibility for Federal Procurement

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is updating its guidelines to expand the list of biobased products eligible for federal procurement preference, adding 14 new sections and establishing minimum biobased content requirements for these items. This change is based on section 9002 of the Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002, as amended by the Food, Conservation, and Energy Act of 2008.
