USDA Proposes Rule to Address Major System Failures in SNAP Program

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has proposed a rule to address systemic errors in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), which could result in the overissuance of benefits to a substantial number of households, and outlines steps the Department may take to collect data, terminate claims collection, and bill the affected State.
