Food Source Attribution; Public Meeting

The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), in collaboration with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is hosting a public meeting to discuss federal efforts to advance understanding of food source attribution and develop harmonized estimates to inform targeted food safety strategies. The meeting will introduce the Interagency Food Safety Analytics Collaboration (IFSAC) and its draft Strategic Plan, which focuses on foodborne illness attribution in light of the CDC's 2011 burden estimates and stakeholder input.
