NMFS Issues Final Rule to Implement Amendment 62 for Reef Fish Fishery of the Gulf of America

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has issued a final rule to implement management measures for the Reef Fish Fishery of the Gulf of America, as outlined in Amendment 62 to the Fishery Management Plan for the Reef Fish Resources of the Gulf. The rule revises catch limits and sector allocations for Gulf red grouper and removes a seasonal closure for shallow-water grouper in Gulf Federal waters.
