NMFS Establishes Limited Access System for Guided Sport Charter Vessels in Alaska

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has implemented regulations to limit the number of charter vessels participating in the Pacific halibut guided sport fishery in Southeast Alaska and Central Gulf of Alaska, with the goal of curbing fishing capacity growth and achieving management goals set by the North Pacific Fishery Management Council.
