U.S. Navy Granted Permission to Take Marine Mammals in Hawaii Range Complex

The U.S. Navy has received a permit from the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) to capture marine mammals during training exercises in the Hawaii Range Complex from January 15, 2010 to January 14, 2011, in accordance with the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA).
