Atlantic Coastal Fisheries Cooperative Management Act Provisions; Application for Exempted Fishing Permits (EFPs) - NMFS Invites Comments

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is considering an application by the Pemaquid Fishermen's Cooperative Association (PFC) to issue an Exempted Fishing Permit (EFP) for testing fixed fishing gear without vertical lines in the Gulf of Maine, with the goal of reducing entanglement threats to Atlantic large whales.
