Notice of Public Scoping Meetings for the Environmental Impact Statement on the Effects of Oil and Gas Activities in the Arctic Ocean

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) will host five public meetings in March 2010 to gather public input on its plan to prepare an environmental impact assessment (EIS) regarding the potential environmental effects of oil and gas operations, including seismic surveys and drilling, in the Arctic Ocean, specifically the U.S. Chukchi and Beaufort Seas.
