FEMA Amends Special Community Disaster Loan Program Regulations to Include Loan Cancellation Provisions

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is updating its Special Community Disaster Loan Program rules to include loan cancellation provisions for communities in the Gulf Coast region affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The changes apply to communities that received loans after 2006 and are authorized by the U.S. Troop Readiness, Veterans' Care, Katrina Recovery, and Iraq Accountability Appropriations Act, 2007.
