Coast Guard Establishes Temporary Safety Zone in Chicago Waterways to Combat Aquatic Nuisance Species

The U.S. Coast Guard is creating a temporary safety zone along 77 miles of Chicago's navigable waterways to prevent vessels from entering areas where efforts are underway to control the spread of invasive aquatic species, in order to protect waterway users and vessels from potential hazards.
