BOP to Prepare DEIS for Housing 1,750 Inmates at Privately-Owned Facility

The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) plans to prepare a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for housing approximately 1,750 low-security adult male inmates, predominantly criminal aliens, at a privately-owned facility in one of four locations: Hinton, OK; McRae, GA; Baldwin, MI; or Scott County, MS. The DEIS will be prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969.
