US Department of Justice Tax Division Reduces Authority for Compromise and Closure of Civil Claims

The US Department of Justice Tax Division has delegated authority to compromise and close civil claims to a Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General, with certain exceptions, and further delegated settlement authority to various chiefs and deputy assistant attorneys general.
