Public Workshop on Medical Devices and Nanotechnology: Manufacturing, Characterization, and Biocompatibility Considerations

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing a public workshop entitled "Medical Devices & Nanotechnology: Manufacturing, Characterization, and Biocompatibility Considerations." The purpose of this workshop is to obtain information on manufacturing, characterization, and biocompatibility evaluation of medical devices containing or utilizing nanomaterials and nanostructures, including diagnostics. FDA is seeking input on these topics and requests comments on a number of related questions. Date and Time: The workshop will be held on September 23, 2010, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Persons interested in attending, must register by 5 p.m. on September 15, 2010. Space availability permitting, on-site registration will be available on a first come first serve basis. If you would like your comments to be considered for workshop discussion, please submit your comments by September 15, 2010. Please submit all other comments by October 22, 2010. Proposed Data Collection Submitted for Public Comment and Recommendations

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as part of its continuing effort to reduce public burden and maximize the utility of government information, invites the general public and other federal agencies the opportunity to comment on a proposed information collection, as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995. This notice invites comment on a proposed information collection project titled Public Health Crisis Response (PHCR) Cooperative Agreement.
