FDA Reclassifies Certain PTCA Catheters from Class III to Class II
The FDA is reclassifying standard percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) catheters from class III to class II, while cutting/scoring PTCA catheters remain in class III and require premarket approval applications.
