U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Clarifies Request for Information on Gopher Tortoise Listing

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is seeking clarification on its September 9, 2009, 90-day finding on a petition to list the eastern population of the gopher tortoise as threatened under the Endangered Species Act of 1973, and is inviting all interested parties to submit information and materials on the species' status during the status review period.
