U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Announces 12-Month Finding on Petition to List American Pika as Threatened or Endangered
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has announced a 12-month finding on a petition to list the American pika as threatened or endangered under the Endangered Species Act of 1973. The service has determined that listing the American pika at the species level or any of its five recognized subspecies is not warranted at this time, but requests the public to submit any new information about the pika's threats or habitat.
