NYSDOT Abandons Environmental Impact Statement for Route 531 Improvements in Monroe County, New York

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) have decided not to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the proposed upgrades to Route 531 in the Towns of Ogden and Sweden, Monroe County, New York, contrary to a previously announced plan. This decision follows a Notice of Intent to prepare an EIS that was published in the Federal Register on January 14, 2005.
