USDA--Forest Service to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Kootenai National Forest

The USDA--Forest Service plans to create an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to assess the environmental impact of various alternatives for the Galton Decision Area on the Fortine Ranger District of the Kootenai National Forest. The public is invited to provide comments on the proposed actions, which will inform the preparation of the draft EIS.
