NERC Requests Interpretation of Transmission Planning Reliability Standard, Commission Proposes Rejection

The North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) has requested the Commission's approval of an interpretation of the Commission-approved transmission planning Reliability Standard TPL-002-0, which requires planning authorities and transmission planners to consider the effects of their protection systems. The Commission has proposed to reject NERC's proposed interpretation and instead proposes an alternative interpretation of the provision.
