U.S. Department of Energy to Propose New Energy Conservation Standards for Certain Incandescent Lamps

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is preparing a proposed rulemaking to set new energy conservation standards for specific types of incandescent lamps, including those with elliptical or bulged reflector bulb shapes and those with diameters of 2.50 inches, in accordance with the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (EPCA).
