FEMA Amends Kentucky Disaster Declaration for Severe Storms, Tornadoes, and Flooding
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has amended its declaration of a major disaster for the state of Kentucky, which was initially declared on May 19, 2011, following severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding that occurred from April 22 to May 20, 2011. The amended declaration is effective as of May 20, 2011, and provides additional time for affected individuals and businesses to apply for physical and economic injury disaster loans.
