SBA Reopens Comment Period for Proposed Rule on Small Business Subcontracting

The Small Business Administration (SBA) is reopening the comment period for a proposed rule published in 2011, which aims to implement provisions of the Small Business Jobs Act of 2010 related to small business subcontracting. The rule proposes changes to SBA regulations, including requirements for prime contractors to notify the contracting officer of non-utilization of subcontractors and to monitor subcontracting plan performance.
