Endangered and Threatened Species; Proposed Listing of Nine Distinct Population Segments of Loggerhead Sea Turtles as Endangered or Threatened; Extension of Comment Period

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) are extending the public comment period for the proposed listing of nine loggerhead sea turtle population segments as endangered or threatened until September 13, 2010. A public hearing will be held in Berlin, Maryland, on June 16, 2010, to address questions and receive comments.
