Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Granted Permit to Take Marine Mammals Incidental to Coastal Fireworks Displays
The Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary in California has been granted a one-year Letter of Authorization to incidentally take California sea lions and Pacific harbor seals during professional fireworks displays within the sanctuary, as permitted under the Marine Mammal Protection Act.
