U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis Updates Financial Services Survey Regulations

The Bureau of Economic Analysis, Department of Commerce, has amended regulations to set forth reporting requirements for the BE-180 survey, which tracks financial services transactions between U.S. financial services providers and foreign persons, replacing the BE-80 survey. The new survey will be conducted every five years, starting with 2009, and will cover transactions with both affiliated and unaffiliated foreign persons.
